Our Story - Where It Began

We are a family owned, London based, online business selling quality human hair extensions made from 100% virgin hair.

Our brand story began over twenty years ago when I was struggling to style my hair which was severely damaged due to a combination of over chemically relaxing, dyeing, excessive heat and not using the correct hair products. Inevitably, I began to lose my confidence and started turning down social events.

Initially, I didn't think about wearing weaves as a solution to my problem until it was suggested and that was the game changer for me. Having the 'Big Chop' was not an option I wanted to take at that time so being able to fully cover my damaged hair, giving it the time it needed to restore, whilst outwardly still looking put together, was a win win situation for me.

Wearing weaves became part of my transitioning routine, where I would remove them after six weeks, two strand twist my hair for several weeks, then reinstall my weave and so it went on for many years. During this time, I had grown to love the way my natural hair looked and felt, so for me, wearing my weave was all about protecting what I had been nurturing.

I used weaves to support me during the challenging stages of transitioning and over the years, its versatility enabled me to wear styles which were shorter than my natural hair and experiment with different volume, textures and colours without permanently altering my hair in any way. 

I have known people to abandon their natural hair journey at various stages, unable to deal with the challenges and their unrealistic goals.  For this reason, I wanted to highlight my experience and the benefits of wearing weaves during those times to alleviate the unnecessary stress. 

Although I am now loc'd, my journey started with weaves as a protective style. It accommodated my lifestyle as a mother of three working full-time, when I wanted to switch up my look for that special occasion or needing to put my hair into hibernation during the winter months.
